The Daily Create - a Milestone

There is a cool "course" online. It is called "The Daily Create" and has been running for quite a while. It is sort of a MOOC because it is massive and open and online, but is simultaneously possible to visit intermittently. The assignment are often submitted by participants. Each day a challenge is posted at the TDC Website. Assignments are also sent out from @ds106dc via Twitter. You may subscribe to the mailing list to have assignments sent to you.

The ongoing "event" is an outgrowth from a course in digital storytelling at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The tasks ask you to illustrate something using one of several media types, writing, digital illustration, photography, audio and video.

On October 4, 2014, the site posted assignment 1000 and asked participants to illustrate "powers of 10".

An assignment is submitted by following an instruction like this one:
"Upload your photo to flickr and tag it dailycreate and tdc1000"

To participate, go and sign up. Get yourself an account on Flickr and get creative.
