Alergies

In case you are starting to feel the itchy eyes and irritation of late summer alergies, it is time to remind you to blame the right reasons. For many, it is an allergy to pollen from plants like ragweed, though it is usually goldenrod that gets the blame. Goldenrod is eye-catching with bright flowers. Ragweed has inconspicuous greenish-grey flowers. Ragweed is easy to overlook, but ragweed pollen is very light. It floats easily through the air. Goldenrod pollen is relatively heavy and needs pollenators like bees to carry it around. It is the pollen that floats which causes your allergies - from plants like ragweed.

As you can see, ragweed flowers aren't very colorful.

By the way, good luck. I hope the allergy season will be short for you.
